Laura Griffin, Ph.D. Project Manager and Scientist
Dr. Griffin received her PhD in Food Science at Virginia Tech in 2018 where she studied the relationships between dietary phytochemicals, diet-induced obesity, and sensory perception. She then went on to work as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Plants for Human Health Institute, where she focused on the bioactivities of flavanol microbial metabolites in a variety of cell and animal models. She also assisted in the preliminary stages of establishing a germ-free program. Dr. Griffin's background in diet induced obesity and germ-free models provides her with the knowledge to advise researchers on their custom formulation needs.
